The best beers are made by the small breweries.
That's not what the adverts tell you. That's not what your local shop or
supermarket tells you. With firm brewery-wholesaler-pub ties in place, you're
not likely to be told that at your local either.
We at BIERLIJN believe it's
true. These small breweries are the last guardians of the
traditional brewing methods - cheaper ways have been found by the modern beer
factories. The small brewer has to look you in the eye as you sample his
beers, while the beer giants pay actors to do that. The small brewers can't
afford just to match the quality of the large, or there would be no point in
them. They have to do better because they need to inspire us to seek
them out!
That is what BIERLIJN does.
We drive the extra mile to collect from the far flung small breweries of
Belgium and Holland. We put in the extra effort, and so should you. Read about

These small breweries need sales to stay alive, and without them real beer
will be replaced entirely by factory fakes!
